Can you keep a Gopher Snake with another snake?

I just rescued a gopher snake about 4ft long and I was wondering if it would be able to stay in the same cage as my ball python(2ft long). Both are very docile and the Ball Python has experience living with other snakes. So far I have them in the same cage and they dont seem to mind eachother, but im worried the Gopher might attack it when it's hungry. Any advice on this?
